Cesar Arias, M.D., FAAP, is the Chief Medical Officer of CCI Health Services. Dr. Arias oversees CCI’s clinical operations and ensures they meet the standards we set to improve community health outcomes and foster a positive in-office experience for our patients.

A practicing pediatrician for over two decades, Dr. Arias joins CCI after serving in leadership positions for several health centers within the Baltimore Medical System. He is the former Medical Director for Middlesex Health Center, overseeing the center’s $3.5 million budget and clinical operations, which sees 20,000 patients annually. Dr. Arias is also the former Medical Director for St. Agnes Health Center, where his strategic planning led to a 20% increase in adolescent wellness visits and a 15% increase in immunizations for children.

As a young child, Dr. Arias arrived in the United States from Cuba with his mother as an asylum seeker. He has made his life’s mission to further health equity and provide quality care for historically marginalized communities. Dr. Arias’ peers describe him as resourceful and collaborative, with an innate ability to adapt to challenges.

Dr. Arias received his M.D. from Universidad Central del Este, a private university in San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic. He completed his residency in general pediatrics at BronxCare Hospital System (previously known as Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center) and Jacobi Medical Center in New York. Dr. Arias is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been honored with several outstanding achievement awards throughout his career.
