John Jenrette, MD

Dr. John Jenrette is the chief executive officer for Sharp Community Medical Group, an association of private-practice primary-care physicians and specialists with locations throughout San Diego County.

He began working with Sharp Community Medical Group in 1993, first as medical director and most recently as its chief medical officer. Prior to joining Sharp Community, Dr. Jenrette served as the program director for the Sharp Family Practice Residency Program at the Sharp Metropolitan Medical Campus and has formerly held academic positions in medicine since 1987.

Dr. Jenrette received his Bachelor of Science and completed his medical education at Ohio State University. He is board certified in family medicine and did fellowship work in geriatrics at East Carolina University in Charleston, N.C.

The Sharp Community Medical Group network includes more than 200 primary care physicians, 600 specialists and 8 HMO contracts. It provides care to more than 175,000 members.
