Lauren Page

Lauren has been with Menocal Family Medicine for the past 10 years and currently serves as the Clinical Supervisor. In this role, she oversees the training, education, scheduling, and organization of the medical assistant staff. She works closely with the physician owner Dr Julio Menocal to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient care.

Lauren has been living with type 1 diabetes since she was diagnosed at the age of 9. Her personal experience managing this chronic condition for over a decade has given her an intimate understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing diabetic patients. Lauren’s firsthand knowledge enables her to provide patients with compassionate, knowledgeable care and counseling. She recognizes the importance of diligent medical management and is committed to helping patients gain control over their diabetes. Lauren’s personal and professional experiences make her well-equipped to care for our diabetic patients.

One of Lauren’s key responsibilities is obtaining prior authorizations from insurance plans to get coverage for medications patients need. With her deep knowledge of the different insurance requirements and her persistence, she has become the go-to person for getting authorizations approved.

In addition to her supervisory and authorization duties, Lauren helps ensure patients understand their treatment plans and feel cared for during their visits. Her warm, compassionate manner puts patients at ease.

Born and raised in Frederick Maryland, Lauren has strong ties to the community. She is proud to be part of a long family legacy in Frederick and contribute to the health of her hometown through her work at the clinic. Her decade of experience, local knowledge, and caring approach make Lauren an invaluable member of the Frederick Family Medicine team.
