Biography

Nadine Dorcena and her two children have been patients at CHA Malden Clinic since the day it opened. She loves the convenience the clinic provides, from shuttle services, friendly staff and various departments under one roof, CHA always makes them feel like a top priority. As a single working mom, these features are priceless.

Nadine came to the United States from Haiti when she was fourteen years old. She attended Saint Gregory High School and Northeastern University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After graduation, Nadine worked as a community leader for social services. She currently works with the elderly community as a social service coordinator to connect them with services to help them navigate their day to day lives.

Nadine was invited to join PAC five years ago by Dr. O’Connor who started the group and is her PCP. She was intrigued by PAC’s mission to empower patients to communicate their needs, connect with their physicians and make changes to the healthcare services the clinic provides. Over the years, she has enjoyed meeting new people from different backgrounds and working on various projects. What Nadine loves the most is the changes the group has made since its inception. The relationships she has developed with the physicians and members of this group are ones she cherishes. Nadine’s time with PAC has shown her that we all have a part to play in helping our neighbors.
