Senator Elizabeth Steiner Hayward (D)
Biography
Elizabeth is a family physician at OHSU and has served as the President of the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians. Before becoming a state senator, she advocated for improved access to high-quality, cost-effective health care for all Oregonians. She believes strongly in the role of arts and culture in a vibrant society, and advocates for including art in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) paradigm.
